Irlen-PA.com is supported by a certified Irlen Syndrome screener, Karen Lubrecht in conjunction with the Educational Consulting Department of cKc Consultants, and not the Irlen Institute. Information contained on the site is intended to be informative, helpful and accurate for those who have the syndrome or care about those that do.

Karen Lubrecht is the proprietor of cKc Consultants, consulting in website development, business marketing and education. She has worked at both the corporate and small business levels. A former delegate to and speaker at the U.S./Russia Joint Conference on Education held in Moscow, Russia, she has presented a variety of workshops here and abroad. Ms. Lubrecht was named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She has been published in the newspaper and on the web, writing on website development and educational issues. The process of creating one of those articles led her to the information on Irlen Syndrome and certification as a screener. Ms. Lubrecht is a former teacher of mathematics, physics and computer science with over 15 years experience on and off-line, and maintains her certification in Physics and Mathematics with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is active in her community on both business and social levels.

Ms. Lubrecht earned her undergraduate degree in physics from Susquehanna University. Her graduate work has lead to a Masters' Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has earned Webmaster Certification from The Pennsylvania State University and completed Web Business Certification coursework through IWA. In 2004 she obtained certification as an Irlen Syndrome Screener and PASS Trainer. Her education continues according to her interests and needs in order to stay current.

Before screening for the Irlen Syndrome, medical and visual system problems should be addressed. Glasses should not be tinted or coated. Please check the requirements for lenses that can be tinted.
