CR39 - Hard Resin, Tintable Plastic. No coatings added
ie. scratch, UV, antireflective, photo gray, etc.
Progressive or thin lenses are fine, but these must be plastic not glass.
SPECIAL NOTE: Not polycarbonate, not glass
(This special tinting technology cannot be used with polycarbonate or glass)
A copy of the prescription with pupil distance listed on the prescription form must come with the eye glasses.
If new Rx is prescribed by the eye doctor, please wear it until you are used to it. Go back to your eye doctor if you need adjustments before makeing an appointment with an Irlen Center.
LENSES will NOT be the same color as overlays. Do NOT get lenses tinted the same color as overlays. This can cause strain and fatigue or make problems worse.
Clients must supply their own frames.
If an initial screening was already done please bring all screening forms and results to the next appointment.
Please read the forms provided at your screenings carefully.
Before screening for the Irlen Syndrome, medical and visual system problems should be addressed. Glasses should not be tinted or coated. Please check the requirements for lenses that can be tinted.
